An annotated English translation by Christopher Tribe of the História da Etiópia by the Spanish Jesuit missionary priest Pedro Páez (Pêro Pais), 1564-1622, who worked in the Portuguese missions, first in India and then in Ethiopia.
Distribution of the two volumes began in late December 2011. They should be with UK members by early January, and with overseas members soon after, depending on shipping speed.

John Narbrough: Journal of a Voyage to the Strait of Magellan. Edited by Capt. Richard Campbell. Following the acquisition of Narbrough's important journal by the British Library, the Society intends to publish this as a 'special edition' which will include a facsimile of the original in parallel with a readable transcription of the text.

Afanasii Nikitin, Voyage over Three Seas. A Russian Merchant's Account of a Voyage to India in 1466-1472. Edited by A. V. Postnikov. This fairly modest text will probably appear as an article in the Journal of the Hakluyt Society.
