EXTRACT FROM THE BY-LAWS AND LIST OF OFFICERS:
THE AMERICAN FRIENDS OF THE HAKLUYT SOCIETY

incorporated in the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, 26 September 1996
Extract from the By-Laws:

Section 1. Purposes: AMERICAN FRIENDS OF THE HAKLUYT SOCIETY, a Rhode Island nonprofit corporation (the "Corporation") is organized to promote the publication of scholarly editions of records of voyages, travel, and other geographical materials of the past and to cooperate with other such organizations having similar objectives. In particular, the Corporation shall promote publication of such scholarly editions by the Hakluyt Society ( a United Kingdom charity with registration number 313168).
